The military is our last hope

I have disagreed with many people who said that the Egyptians are not yet ready for democracy. I thought that Egypt can repeat the experience of South Africa, but I was mistaken.

What happens now in Egypt proves I was really mistaken. Women and young girls are suffering all kinds of sexual harassment in the streets, and many people here can't differentiate between freedom and bullying.

Security has many issues; many young people are being kidnapped and killed, and many properties are seized under such unprecedented state of chaos.

I know many people, especially those who work in tourism, who have been working for the basic pay for more than two years (no more than 500 EGP).  In short, everybody here has been suffering financially since the beginning of the revolution.

All Egyptians, civil and Islamic currents, have failed in the exam of democracy. As Islamists are calling the others infidels and traitors, you can't imagine them losing the elections.

Later, they will beat and kill the opposition. On the other hand, the civil currents are really divided and each of them is only seeking its own interests. Meanwhile, many poor citizens are suffering more and more.

I think that the military is our last hope as under its rule, it would never call the opposition infidels and traitors, allow Hamas to suppress the demonstrations, give Sinai to the Palestinians, give Suez Canal to Qatar, empower Iran in Egypt, demolish Giza Pyramids, or allow the terrorists and weapons through tunnels to penetrate the borders and kill our soldiers.

I think that security is much more important than the fake democracy claimed by the Islamists who lie, betray, exclude, intimidate and repress all the time.
