EU High Representative Catherine Ashton said on Saturday that she is concerned at reports of renewed violence in Cairo and at the general climate of increased domestic instability in Egypt.
According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), in a statement by Ashton's spokesperson, the High Representative called on all parties to “enter into a broad-based and inclusive dialogue to overcome the current political stalemate and the serious political divide.”
Violent clashes erupted outside the Muslim Brotherhood’s headquarters in Muqattam between the supporters of the Islamist group and their opponents left around 200 people injured on Friday.
