Egyptian State Department demands Libya to protect the Copts

Ali Eshiry, Egyptian Foreign Minister Assistant for Consular Affairs, has met with Ashour Borashed, the Libyan ambassador in Cairo to discuss the situation of the Coptic Christians in Libya.

 

Eshiry asked the ambassador to be granted access to the results of the investigations and to make sure Coptic Christians in Libya are safe and are able to perform their religious rites.
