Prosecutors issued arrest warrants for five more suspects in the deadly 5 April clashes between Muslims and Christians in Khosous, Qalyubiya Governorate, which claimed seven lives.
The new suspects are accused of participating in violent acts, including burning proprerties belonging to Christian families.
Local prosecutors also ordered a 15-day extension of the detention period for the Iskandars family, accused of shooting a Muslim dead during the incident.
The violence was sparked after some young children allegedly drew swastika symbols on the walls of an Islamic school.
