Samir Morcos: Sectarian strife is a matter of Egyptian national security
Dr. Samir Markos, former assistant of the president, said in the Shura Council that the sectarian strife in Egypt is a matter of national security, and solving the problem starts with treating the Copts as equal Egyptian citizens.
 
He added that though building churches was not considered a problem during the Islamic rule, it's now a serious repetitive problem, that shouldn't exist after the revolution of January 25.
