European media said that the public freedoms in Egypt face many challenges under the rule of the Islamists who hate criticism to the extent that they accuse any activists of being contempt to Islam.
Deutsche Welle newspaper said that more than 600 lawsuits were raised against journalists and media practitioners since President Mohammed Morsy came in power.
It added that the regime is accusing the media of inciting hatred and partaking in public disorder, which is believed by many people among the 52% who voted for President Morsy in the presidential elections.
