Around 300 Coptic Egyptians flew on Monday to Jerusalem to perform pilgrimage, reported a local newspaper.
The number of pilgrims rose this year compared to the year before, despite the papal order issued by the late head of the Coptic Orthodox Church banning such a visit due to the Israeli occupation.
The pilgrims are to visit Christian landmarks for Easter ceremonies.
