Burned churches in Egypt

Since the Saints Church in Alexandria was bombed in 2011, Many churches have been attacked and burned in Egypt, and more is coming. This is frequently happened here for various reasons, such as: Searching for a claimed kidnapped Muslim girl (Church of Empapa and St. George Church in Wasti, Beni Suef) and hoping to release them from church custody!

Attacking a church by angry mobs of savages have also started for other reasons including a fight between Christian and Muslim young people which led the Muslims to attack St. Mary Church in Alexandria and kill a Coptic man called Sedky Awad, 34.

In Menbal village, Minya, Muslim young people have sexually harassed a Christian woman, which ignited a fight, during which the church was attacked as well as nearby shops of Christians were demolished and looted. Later, the Copts had to give up all their rights in a customary reconciliation session.

Last but not least, St. John Church in Tamma, Suhag, has been recently destroyed complexity by fire for unknown reasons that may have something to do with Muslim's attacks.

Such attacks are usually accompanied by looting and seizing properties of the Copts and some times by forced displacement of the Coptic families. State is not to be found in most cases, as it allows some Sheikhs and customary reconciliation sessions to solve the case and feel free to wrong the Copts.

Finally, I hope that wise people may be found to intervene and to stop burning the Coptic Churches, as the same fire may burn all over Egypt.
