On the other hand, Minya’s Court of Appeals will look into the case of 1200 Brotherhood members next March for being involved in similar incidents.

Brotherhood supporters were outraged by security forces’ dispersal of the sit-ins at Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda squares in Cairo. Protesters had gathered in the square for nearly two months following the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi.

Since then, Brotherhood supporters have been carrying out attacks focused on police and military forces through protests, assaults on their institutions, and targeted murders. A large number of Brotherhood members have been under arrest and under investigation since June 30.
