A number of Coptic activists assured that Hala Shokralla, head of Dostour Party, doesn't represent the Copts as she is seeking an electoral alliance with Dr. Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh, leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Rami Kamel, founder of Maspero Youth Union, said that despite being Christian, Shokralla can't represent the Coptic Christians or talk on behalf of them as she is married to a Muslim man and is seeking an electoral alliance with leader of the Muslim Brotherhood as well.
Hani Ramsis, lawyer and Coptic activist, said that religion should not be mixed with politics any more. “Yet, Hala Shokralla shouldn't represent the Copts”
