A joint committee of legal and security bodies will be formed to discuss ways to coordinate with authorities to apprehend and deliver convicted fugitives, a judicial source told Youm7 on Thursday.
The international cooperation dept. of the Justice Ministry in coordination with the Administrative Control Authority, Money Laundering Combating Unit, General Prosecution and Interior Ministry will form a joint committee tasked with handling the issues of the Egyptian fugitives, the source added.
The committee will be tasked with reviewing the apprehension and deportation requests sent by Egyptian authorities to several countries and have been ignored, said the source.
The committee will be also tasked with providing these countries with official documents of final rulings against the fugitives.
The source said that the committee will most likely resend a request to Qatari stakeholders to apprehend and deport senior leader of Gamaa Islamiyya, Asem Abdel Maged.
