Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, has expressed his sadness over the death of Mar Ignatius Zakka Iwas I, in a message sent to the Syrica Orthodox Church. Mar Ignatius Zakka Iwas departed Friday at the age of 81.
The Pope recalled the work of the deceased Patriarch in the various offices of the Holy Church.
