Former Australian army commander Lee Hae said that Australia has to wage a long war against fanatic Islam that may last for 100 years.
He added that the war will be against radical Islam and terrorism at very high cost. He also called to carry out preemptive strikes against terrorism and extremism.
Meanwhile, Australian government is going to pass new laws in the Parliament to prevent Australian citizens from participating in wars and crimes committed in Iraq, Syria and other countries.
Sources in the government announced that no less than 150 Australian Muslims are currently engaged in the ongoing wars in Iraq and Syria.
