Leading Brotherhood member to testify before fact-finding committee

Leading Muslim Brotherhood figure Mohamed Ali Bishr announced Thursday his willingness to cooperate with the June 30 fact-finding committee, expressing his readiness to provide the committee with more information on Monday.

According to Bishr, leading member Mohamed El-Beltagy's wife and sons, lawyer Hoda Abdelmoneim, and Dr. Hanan Amin have also requested to testify, the committee reported on Thursday.

The June 30 fact-finding committee had previously condemned jailed Muslim Brotherhood leaders' refusal to cooperate with it.

The committee, established by former interim President Adly Mansour to investigate violent acts which took place since June 2013, said it is working hard to represent all sides in the report it is scheduled to issue this month.

"There is no justification to the negative way the Brotherhood view the committee," Fouad Abdel Moneim Riad, the committee's chairman said, describing the committee as "neutral" and not affiliated with the government.
