Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, delivered his weekly sermon yesterday after it was canceled for nearly a month for his pastoral care visit to Europe and Canada.
He congratulated the Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, and the Egyptian army on the 41 anniversary of the victory of October.
He also expressed his happiness for the return of kidnapped Coptic woman at Gabal al-Tir hoping for effective interrogation and compensation for the victims.
Pope said that Abba Pachomius, former acting Patriarch, is doing well and should return to his people in couple of weeks.
