Bomb defused on Gamaa Bridge in Giza, no injuries
Security forces defused a bomb Sunday on Gamaa bridge in Egypt's Giza governorate. No injuries or deaths were reported, sources told Ahram Online.

Bombing attempts have become frequent following the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013 amid nationwide mass protests against his rule. A sustained crackdown followed by the state on his Islamist supporters.

Gamaa Bridge was closed as security forces defused the bomb. Eye witnesses say it is now open for traffic.

The latest explosion to hit Egypt was early in December in Fayoum, south of Cairo, injuring one person.
