Sheikh Moussa el-Daleh told Al Ashra Masa’n talk show, that “Although the Egyptian military is not in need of our support, our traditions force us to support it.”

Press reports previously reported that some members of Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis (ABM) terrorist group, which has been active in the Sinai for years, and has claimed responsibility for a number of attacks against military installations in the peninsula, belong to Sinai- tribes.

On Monday, The Tarabin tribe attacked Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis following an incident of a beheading of a 16-year-old boy from the tribe by the group and fatally shooting another man.
