Transport Minister Galal al Saeed announced the allocation of 500 million EGP ($57m) to the Cairo-Alexandria agricultural road rehabilitation project, Youm7 reported on Tuesday.
The ministry has completed a major part of the development of the road, which links between Egypt’s major cities, Saeed said.
He added the project will be completed by mid 2017.
