Syriac bishops held meeting under the chairmanship of Mar Ignatius Joseph III, Patriarch of the Syriac in Antioch, with the participation of bishops coming from different bishoprics in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jerusalem, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, the United States, Canada, Venezuela and Rome.
The attendees discussed the current situation in the east and the calamity of Christian, especially in Syria and Iraq, and called to unity between the churches against such great calamity.
