President Abdel Fatah al Sisi on Wednesday met with Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn for talks on supporting the EU-Egypt partnership and cooperation, Presidential spokesperson Alaa Youssef was quoted by Youm7.
During the meeting, Sisi asserted the importance of strengthening partnership between Egypt and the European Union on priority areas for cooperation, including socio-economic development, job opportunities, illegal migration and security in the Middle East and North Africa region, said Youssef.
Hahn signed 6 agreements worth €129m with Egyptian government on Tuesday.
The visit is Hahn’s first to Egypt since his appointment as Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations in 2014.
