Beggars cant be choose

Recently, the US congress announced decreasing in the aid introduced to Egypt, and they have used the human rights situation as main reason to reduce this aid. I m not writing this article to attack the US decision but to clarify many facts to this aid.

The first fact I Want to clarify that many writers and politicians in Egypt trying to attack us as because of this decision but I want to remind them with this famous proverb that says” beggars can t choose”, and I m sorry to choose that word “ beggars”, I just used it to clarify my point but didn t mean Egypt at all.

If someone gets used to give you donations or aid, it doesn t mean that he is obligated to give it to you forever, unless he decided so. It s very shameful that many writers like “Moustafa Bakry” and other writers started to attack US because of that.

The second fact I want to talk about that no one can deny that the human rights situation in Egypt is so awful and any one tries to deceive himself by the saying the opposite, he is not truthful. The prisons are full of innocent people tried to express their opinion peacefully about “Tennar and sanafir”, the law of the national associations put many restrictions on these association, which don t allow them to practice any real role in the society.

The Last fact is about the democracy situation in Egypt especially with the last calling to amend the constitution to allow the president stays 6 years instead of four and to be able to stay in power 3 period instead of two, all of that indications refer that we are not close to be a democratic country in the near future.

In conclusion, I want to tell all writers who attacked the US that Egypt needs to be independent and its very shameful to attack US because we wants more money, it s better for Egypt and Egyptian to work hard and stop begging that if you want the next generation to be proud of being Egyptian.
