Bishop Theophils of the Red Sea died yesterday at the age of 77 after suffering from severe illness.
He was born on April 6, 1942, and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University in 1967. He was ordained a monk at the Syrian monastery and was called Father Ignatius on 5 October 1976.
