What we witness lately is that democracy around the world is deteriorating and that is not because there is no election around the world or because people cant elect their leader, but because the pillars of democracy are gradually vanishing.
When I see for example President Trump doesnt care or trust US institutions and never listens to their advice, that means Democracy is eating itself.
Before everyone around the world was inspired by seeing how the US election goes and how people respect each other at the end of the election, however, when people see now the US election, they get disappointed in this democracy.
In conclusion, I want to say that it seems we are close to a new era that is not clear what and how is the world will look like in the near future and also a lot of people lost their hopes in the western democracies but the question is do we have another alternative and is this alternative ready to replace the western democracy.
