Egypt keen to enhance cooperation with Iraq, Jordan: Prime minister

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly urged to swiftly accomplish joint projects between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan amid the current challenges that face the Arab region.

The premier on Saturday chaired a tripartite talks meeting in the presence of ministerial delegations from the three countries, calling for cementing cooperation with Iraq and Jordan.

Madbouly warned that the delay in the implementation of such projects would lead to doubling costs.

He pointed out that the members of the three ministerial delegations, which took part in the tripartite meeting held in Jordan, agreed on putting deals signed among the three countries into effect and launching joint development projects in different fields.

The premier said it is scheduled that the leaders of the three countries would hold a tripartite summit in the first quarter of the next year.

The attending ministers agreed on increasing cooperation in the fields of health, medicine industries, infrastructure projects, electricity interconnection and interchange trade
