MP Dr. Emad Gad told Copts United that each civil party made one of two decisions concerning the drafting committee of the constitution: First, to participate no matter what happens. Second, to withdraw from the elections and refuse to be nominated. But, we were surprised that 7 members of the Egyptian party were chosen however they never nominated themselves and we haven’t given them our voices. Members were chosen according to a premade list which the Islamists have distributed.
Gad expressed his gladness after the unpredictable reaction of the civil powers that withdrew. He said that Muslim Brotherhood still have some pride, and many of them feel they are useless and they have made a big ethical and political mistake.
