A friend asked me: Why do you oppose the president after you supported and elected him? I told him that supporting a person once doesn’t mean to support him forever. I disagree with my family and friends, let alone the president! I was thinking about the great writer Tawfiq al-Hakim, who criticized the revolution of 1952 in his book "The return of consciousness" after he had supported it strongly to the point that Nasser himself considered him the spiritual father of the revolution of 1952.
In the past few weeks following my return to Egypt as I was furious on what happened to me and not wanting to write about it I was avoiding to write or trying to be brief in my articles not to talk about UK immigration officers, I'm not going to speak about it yet but I'll go back to my usual way of writing and analysing event, and as a start I have to point out that writing weekly articles makes me feel like a press personal or author which puts me in the same category president El-Sisi was complaining about!
After the parliament agreed on their government agenda 2 days ago, we must stop and think deeply about them. Is the parliament ready to defend Egyptians’ interests and achieve their dreams, or are they only here to satisfy the Authorities and the President? Any Parliament in the world should represent only the people of its nation, not authorities, because it is through parliament that we can pass laws related to taxes, pensions, education, and a lot of different perspectives of Egyptian life. Furthermore, the parliament is also responsible for passing any agreements between Egypt and other countries, like the last agreement between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, where Egypt allegedly gave the two islands of Tiran Sanafir to Saudi Arabia.
I read what was written by a Saudi writer who demanded Egypt to pay thirty-three billion dollars for using the “Saudi islands of Tiran and Snafir”. However the Egyptian government waivered the islands ignoring the bloodshed of the Egyptian soldiers who died to liberate the land, I don’t care if the islands are Egyptian or Saudi, but I was surprised to hear that man demanding Egypt to pay a lot of money for using the islands. In fact, the Egyptian blood is priceless. Yet, it should be known that Egypt has donated money, food, water, medication and security for the poor people in Saudi Arabia.
Although "Tiran and Sanafir" crisis has escalated and grew bigger very fast like a snow ball, which spoiled the achievement claimed by the Egyptian administration by the visit of the Saudi King to Cairo. The reactions to the crisis exposed failure and ignorance of many public figures. However, the religious institutions refused to comment, support or oppose. Al-Azhar and the Church announced that they don’t have comment on such political decision since they only work in spiritual matters. However, many Egyptians had comments including professors who know nothing about the matter and even changed their points of views by changing the televisions they were hosted at.
Egypt is currently facing fierce wars, which can be considered wars of survive. This makes them more important than World War II. These wars don’t target cities and logistic locations, but rather the Egyptian people, their identity, morals and religion. This way they use the Egyptians to destroy their country instead of using traditional guns. In fact, they found out that social media is much cheaper. They decided to buy new agents who carry the Egyptian nationality and work in several NGOs. Those agents aim to spread rumors, frustration and lie about Egypt and underestimate all national projects and divide the Egyptian people. They use ignorance of the people in every aspect of life to bring the best results.
I was astonished by a group of Egyptians who demonstrated to demand to put the Red Sea islands of Sanafir and Tiran — long considered Egyptian possessions — within Saudi territorial waters. I think they are very stupid to demand so as the Egyptian people really appreciate their land. The demonstrators claimed that they out of faithfulness, Egypt should hand the islands to the Saudi Arabia. Yet, they know nothing about faithfulness since you have been stealing money of the Egyptian people for years. This is what have been claimed by the strong man who worked with the Egyptian inelegance chief Omar Suleiman. I mean Maj. Gen. Hussein Kamal, director of the Office of Omar Suleiman.
This is the nick name of Antigua and Barbuda but I’m not going to talk of Antigua or its twine Island Barbuda but another twine Islands existed always close to Egyptian territories and under their control but never belonged to Egypt and suddenly after the Saudi Arabian King visit to Egypt they become of top priority and the main subject in Egypt every one has his own view some based on the historic speech of ex-president Nasser R.I.P. When escalating the Egyptian stance from Israel on 1967 and his desire to close the Akaba Golf on Israeli Navigation which led to the war of June 1967!
There is no doubt that President Sisi changed from an inspired leader to a leader that likes to be the only person sound to be right. Sisi started his presidency period with different attitude, however, this didn’t last more than one year. I believe that Egypt going toward another dictatorship. There are many conducts if the president did or said you can consider it as remarks of a new dictatorship. One of these remarks when the president say to the nation, just listen to 2200 and President Sisi said that sentence before.
The crisis of the Egyptian plane that was hijacked to Cyprus on March 29 ended. However, we should learn from such incident. Egyptian stewardess Nihal Barkoki refused to abandon the plane though she knew that the hijacker was wearing an explosive belt that may end her life. She said later that the passengers were her responsibility, and she took her responsibility though she could die. Yet, none of her family was on board, but it is a matter of conscience for her.
Since its inception, the Islamic rule in Egypt used sectarianism and linked between the Copts and any failure that faces the regime. However the opposition is not of a religious character; the regime plays with sectarianism that has been burning us for a long time. Several attacks against the Copts is described as individual Incidents, but they are in fact a systematic attacks and ethnic cleansing aiming to humiliate the religious minority starting with calling them infidels and contempt of Christianity and even burning of Bibles and churches in addition to kidnapping of Copts. Later, they call for jihad and start a whole new cycle of violence and make new massacres against the Copts.
After the Egyptian Parliament was elected, a group of TV presenters won elections as members of the house of representatives. They use their televisions and newspapers to affect the public opinion and the decisions of the Parliament. One of the private televisions talk day and night about reconciliation with the icons of the overthrown regimes that Egyptian young people died to get rid of. A famous journalist announced days ago that he accepts reconciliation and doesn’t mind to take a selfie with Morsi! This comment reminded me of another writer called Aiman Sayad who worked as adviser to the ousted president Mohamed Morsi. Sayad said that the united Egyptian people during the revolution of January 25 shouldn’t have cast their votes without one party of them, he means the Muslim Brotherhood.
I fully understand that the visit of the Saudi king to Egypt is a great event, but we didn’t deal with visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin this way. Despite the support of the Saudi king and his family to Egypt since the revolution of June 30, I do not agree with such exaggeration and excessive welcoming. Our president visited Saudi Arabia several times and was not welcomed this way. I was not surprised that guard of King Salman threw his napkin on the floor. He may feel at home, but he didn’t mean to do this in front of several cameras. He must understand that our media can publish such photos unlike his media that don’t enjoy the same level of freedom.
In the before Christ years old old times humans and animals lived together in jangles no boarders no limits men climbed trees like monkeys to get fruits and food for survival; food included plants or animals like chicken or cows for both meat and milk, meat would include chicken, duck, fish, rabbits and many more less frequent animals or let us say more wild not too close to the human communities like deer or wild rabbits versus to rabbits born within people and farmers who raised them for food!
There are many events happened lately in Egypt, through them we can confirm without any doubt that President Sisi started to lose his compass. There are many crises appeared lately showed without any doubt that Sis failed to handle these crises. Many of these crises Sisi may not be responsible for it directly but we can say that he at least failed to manage some of these crises. For example the case of the Italian researcher Gulio Regeni, President Sisi failed to be a responsible president and tell the truth for the world and to Italy, but instead of telling the truth, the interior ministry killed 5 innocent citizens without any judgement.
Egyptian newspaper “The Seventh Day” launched a website to measure the credibility of news published about Egypt in international media including BBC, CNN, RUETERS and Associated Press. It said that the news published about Egypt were not accurate and there were much more news about Egypt than Turkey and Qatar. In fact, it’s a nice idea to listen to what is being said about Egypt in the West. However, the problem is that we will only listen without actually listening to reason. We may keep accusing the world of targeting Egypt, but we have to realize that we are not always right and the world is not always wrong.
We have to apologize to the month of April as we decided to make it the month of lies. We should also apologize to the time that we ruin and call it bad later. At that time, we should also apologize for the history that we have ruined and distorted. We decided to lie and even kill one another claiming this is happening for the sake of God, but in fact we fight for the sake of sectarianism and seeking power!
In Doha, the American flag is raised in a US military base, and the Israeli flag will join it at a sport tournament organized in the so called Arab country that organizes a beach volleyball tournament. This came while the Israeli team Judo did not raise the flag of his country in the United Arab Emirates during its participation in Judo Championship. At the same time, Egyptian writer Aswani is being attacked for distributing one his novels in Israel, The Yacoubian Building. In fact, this novel was praised by many people before they start cursing it for being translated into Hebrew. However, many novels are being translated into Arabic, but they don’t mean to insult other countries. We should stop isolating one another.
There were several condemnations of US, European Union and UN against Egypt after Egyptian police have been investigating a number of local human rights organizations on charges of receiving money from abroad, which is known in the Egyptian media as «foreign funding case». Moreover, Egyptian police is suffering from many accusations after the torture and killing of the Italian student Julio Regina. They failed to convince the public opinion due to its loss of credibility and bad reputation.
After 2 weeks short vacation from my weekly article I’m back, with a lot to talk about over the following weeks but for now I resume with a short brief overview of some events starting with the most recent ones including some Analysis of the respectful Cairo 360 degrees program in TV of M. Osama Kamal one of rare very respectful TV presenters, which I wish first of all to thank him for still being the very same humble presenter of the very same respectful TV program I saw last time almost 6 months ago! With all due respect to Osama Kamal I do have a couple of set back, this is my opinion and I do respect his opinion that I never got the chance to listen or see it! It was about the event that shook Egypt and the world few days ago about the Egypt Air plane hijacked to Cyprus, that day I woke up to see the news on Facebook that it is not my source of news so I switched immediately to Al masreya TV that was on while abroad 24/7 there I found a 100% follow up on that event camera was between Cyrus airport Larnaka and Egypt Air airport or more precisely the emergency room the PM and minister of Aviation set up in the airport to follow up on that crisis...
In the western eastern day, about 72 Pakistani Christians died a lot of them are children and hundreds injured. I want to stand here a little of time in the reaction of the international community toward what happened toward Pakistani Christians and compare it to their reaction toward what happened in France after many people killed in a shooting. When the shooting happened in France, all western countries were united and condemned the attack; furthermore, most of western leaders went to France to take part in the walk so express their Solidarity with France against the attack.
