There are certain groups of people that always ruin the life in Egypt at all ages. They have been stealing treasures of Egypt and destroyed all morals after they worshipped all governors and kings that came in power. Such groups worshipped King Farouk and his family, wives and even his mistresses. History tells us that those people flattered the governors till the end.
Jesus Christ out of his love said that we should bless those who curse us, but he is just and lover of mankind at the same time. He was crucified to achieve such justice. Therefore, Christians should know that they should be brave and claim their rights. I know two examples to those Christians who claimed their rights and refused to surrender and eat their tongues.
Monasticism in Egypt has origins and traditions practiced throughout its long history. It has always been sponsored by the Church and enriched her. Pope Tawadros said that church honored monasticism since its very beginning in Egypt during the third and fourth centuries. Monks dedicated their time for prayers and helping the people. Monasticism is based on obedience and repentance. It knows nothing about conflicts, wars and violence. Monks seek quiet life and poverty. It has nothing to do with pride, media shows and resist the authorities.
We have taken no steps to develop the performance of management of the Egyptian state. We have demanded several times to establish a supreme council for planning. This council should pick the right ministers for the cabinet instead of the General and Military Intelligence of Egypt. I hope that those who plan are different from those who carry out the plans since this is a major disaster in management science! It’s known that corruption is spreading inside the Egyptian state. We suffer from neglect and administrative confusion that leads us to destruction.
After the interior ministry announced that it could find the gang that responsible for killing “Guilio Regeni” and all local media and international media couldn’t stop talking about this matter. Unfortunately, I can say that the interior ministry introduced the evidence that the Egyptian police killed “Guilio Regeni”. I always believe that if you did something wrong, it will be known even after a while.
Nobody believed Mubarak when he said that terrorism is an international issue. At the time Mubarak was trying to get international support to fight terrorism, several countries were sending its terrorists to Afghanistan including Egypt that sent al-Zawahiri out there. Those terrorists established al-Qaida and spread terrorism all over the world.
In this article I mention several points that reveal problems of the Coptic Christians in Egypt. Christians don’t have freedom to build churches. In Galaa village, Minya, the governor couldn’t rebuild an old church before he accepts 6 conditions of the Salafis. There is no Christian governor in 27 Egyptian governorates and there is no Christian director of security. This could be because of incompetence or the lack of or confidence in Christians. There is no Christian president of university in Egypt or Christian editor-in-chief of a national newspaper. Christians don’t preside over national banks and can’t work as obstetrics and gynaecology professor. Egyptian courts don’t accept Christian witnesses against Muslims. Holy Mass is not recorded in public TV on Sundays.
We had fair parliamentary elections guaranteed by the government. Those who won the elections according to the American democracy. I say that there are both advantages and disadvantages of current Egyptian parliament that came to complete the road map of the Egyptian state. The disadvantage starts by the huge number of members that approaches 600 MPs. This number hinders good performance of the parliament indeed. If each member took only five minutes to discuss certain issue, it will take more than 24 hours to discuss one matter, which is impossible. The other disadvantage of the parliament is the representatives. This came after a military coup occurred in 1952 and the successive governments continued to destroy every aspect of Egyptian civilization. Consequently, political parties were destroyed and returned by a single one that continued the destruction, which is the National Democratic Party.
Children small or big we all celebrate Mothers Day as Spring starts full of Love! We Love you Mothers -All Mothers- and say Thank you mum! It is a pleasure for me to think of my mum living mothers can never destruct us from our beloved dead mothers, having lost your mum or dad or even both is not the end of the world is not the end of Loving and caring so whoever objected R.I.P. Ali Amin idea of celebrating mothers on the 21st of Mars each year was deadly wrong!
Lately I had the chance to know closely some of the Syrian refugee. I can’t deny how much I was feeling sorry for them. I was eager to ask them many questions about everything they saw and how was the situation before they leave their country; however, I thought it might not be the right time to go and open such subjects that might be wounds for them. Any way I could get an idea and recognize some of their traits. Some of their traits are close to the Egyptian traits in many things and different in others. When you see the Syrian you will feel that they are like the Egyptian exactly from Upper Egypt. You will see them kind, humble, struggling to survive, has dreams to be better and improve the quality of their life.
There is no doubt that justice is the main target and dream of human beings. However, the Egyptians are seeking justice in all court rulings that may prove to them that participating in two revolutions was one move towards achieving justice. Couples of days ago, 31 members of the Muslim Brotherhood were sentenced to life imprisonment and 57 were sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges of burning St. George Church in Suhag. For 50 years, such crimes are committed in my country without even having a criminal to judge. The Saints church bomb attack is a sad example for that tragedy that has nobody even to be accused!
Arab people shouldn’t be happy to have very bad relations with America, Russia and the West. In fact, we should have been seeking friendship and cooperation with these countries. However, we should hate them for inciting disagreement between Arab countries. We lose and they make a lot of money. Indeed, we should blame ourselves for giving them a chance to do so. They are like hungry lions and we are the stupid bulls. We were lost when we allowed the lion to eat one of us. We were lost when we were divided according to identity and religion.
I had a chance to study in the United States of America in 2009-2010. It was a distinguished grant that turned my life upside down. I studied media production and graphic design and took them as profession after I had spent years working as journalist. However, when the grant was over, I decided to go back to my homeland in order to be with my family and share all good and bad things with them. At that time, rumors spread among the Copts in America that the Muslim Brotherhood were about to take power in Egypt. I simply said that if my family has to suffer under such autocratic regime, I will be suffering with them out there.
I don’t know why donation ideas have spread very much in Egypt. Indeed Egypt is in bad need for such donation and it really deserves such money. However, if the government understands the value of Egyptian Pound, why it allows dollar to eat its value all the time? It was a great idea by Minister of Tourism who showed pictures of people who lost their job in tourism sector before tourists to beg for their sympathy and compassion. However, he must forgot about how Egypt treats many of her tourists including allowing them to die in terrorist attacks and even torture them to death! This can’t be how a country depends on tourism should treat its tourists! Such beggary should increase their fears instead of longing for Egypt.
Upon the revolution on Mubarak there were a lot of slogans like the most famous on translated “Bread Freedom Social Justice”, and within those slogans another one translated as well “People want to change the System”; and system here was meant the government of the people in charge! Great now a new slogan come out from anti-revolution guys and the revolution here is that of 30 June that ended the Muslim Brotherhood -MB in short- controls on Egypt! Yes, controls MB never won the elections but they imposed themselves to control Egypt. The new slogan translated as well states: The system wants to change the people! Well it is a wording show that sounds like if the system was going to send away Egyptian people and may be import people from Japan or China in exchange!
In his last speech to Amr Adeb, President Sis was trying to explain the programs and projects he is willing to finfish before his first period finish. When I was listening carefully to all what he said, I found out that he was talking about housing projects, Fish Farms, in Sinai and in other places. Although, I have no problems for doing any of these projects, however, I don’t see it’s appropriate to the presidents Sisi to speak about these projects. I understand that these kinds of projects should be the responsibility of house Ministry and ministry of agriculture.
Japanese Empire celebrated last week the visit of the Arab leader and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. He went there seeking friendship and peace with the Japanese people. He asked Japan to contribute to the development and construction of modern Egypt, especially in education and transportation, etc. Japan welcomed the president and expressed its desire to participate in all projects in Egypt including Egyptian-Japanese partnership in the field of education. Sisi has succeeded in this step since Japan has great education and code of ethics as well. This is more important than importing weapons for the Egyptian army since education is more powerful.
On the anniversary of the departure of Pope Cyril VI, I would like to share this miracle that happened to me by Pope Cyril. It should be known first that millions of Copts had similar miracles done through the intersession of Pope Cyril. In 2000, I had strong pain in the abdominal area that used to last for hours. I visited the doctor who assured me I have several Gallstones. I had to undergo a surgical operation. I was listening to hymns and praises dedicated to Pope Cyril all the time. I took a nap, and all of a sudden, I had a dream that Pope Cyril is sitting next to the doctor. He asked me: “Is that the doctor who is going to perform the surgery?” “No, another doctor since this one is very busy”, I said.
