Dr. Mufid Shehab was known for being part of the Mubarak regime, and was investigated after the overthrown of Mubarak, but was found not guilty. He disappeared for years, but returned after the crisis of Tiran and Sanafir to assure that the two islands belong to the Saudi Arabia. Several Egyptians couldn’t accept this knowing that Egypt lost many soldiers to liberate the two islands. They found PhD thesis supervised by dr. Shihab assuring that the two islands are Egyptian.

Commenting on the conflict between police and the people in Ashi village in Luxor I said that we destroy our country with our own hands. Such destruction will put an end to Egypt by the Egyptians. This became crystal clear in all aspects of our life. Let me criticize our exaggeration in worshipping while we don’t respect it. We don’t love one another and disrespect our homeland. Our morals were known among the nations, but now we seek deviation and hatred. We even forgot about our civilization and heritage.

A close by place to our house blow up, I could hear the sound and see the fire far away from our house on the 4th floor, it was the second major disaster I witness as a child of six to sever years old and had a mark in my memories. Without much details I recall my mother's reaction. She was wandering if this was another burning of Cairo! Cairo had been burning twice before first one was before my birth; It was Hassan El-Banna plot against the Egyptian Jews in Cairo, burning the Jews Businesses and houses of residences to push them away and made them feel they are not welcomed in Egypt! Those carefully chosen victims their only crime was they had the same religion like the ones invaded Palestine!

When you live or read about how other society live, you will find out that Egypt has too much in many things and that from my view make everything not good and needs a lot of efforts by working not only by talking. For example, Egypt has too many accidents to that extent every day you will find a family sad on their lost. Back to the simple solution for that problem is the people themselves. Law is not only enough to keep any nation safe. We need the culture of the people be different and care so much about others than rushing to catch a football game and killing many.

Those who didn’t care for the big fire at the Hall of the Good Shepherd in Shubra corridor and many other places in Egypt will not care as well for the big fire at Alroiei area. I tell you that they caused the fire by their stupidity and negligence. We have seen big fire in Dubai at the New Year's Eve, but there were no human casualties and very limited losses comparing to the fire. They have advanced fire extinguishing systems and were ready to extinguish the fire as if they were expecting it.

After watching a TV talk show in which Osama Kamal hosted the chief of Journalists Syndicate to talk about the current crisis, I discovered that the chief and many journalists suffer from a disease called national AIDS. The symptoms of this disease are arrogance, lying, exaggeration and not caring for the nation. People with this disease only accept their points of view and despise the others. They follow a plan to divide the Egyptian society that the president warned against several times. This plan includes destroying the Egyptian police. The fake story of storming the Journalists Syndicate was denied by security of the syndicate who testified that they opened the doors before police to arrest the wanted people hiding inside the building. It only took five minutes to arrest them and left in peace. It’s worth mentioning that national security is much more important than privileges and immunities. In 1979, Saudi security forces stormed the Grand Mosque to put an end to Iranian terrorism in the Grand Mosque in Mecca. This was accepted by Muslims all over the world.

I was asked to write an article for this new section in our website under the title of "Smile of Hope". It aims to spread both smiles and hope among our readers. I was thinking what to write among all the negative issues that faces us. I decided to search for positive things and train my eyes to see them once again. I found many examples in the subway where you can find many rich stories. I saw an old woman who looks tired but enjoys a wonderful smile, especially with the handicapped child with her. People tried to help her and a doctor with us asked her about her daughter. She thanked God before she tells the story of her children that suffer from this disease that kills them once they turn twenty years old. She already lost three children and only this girl remains.

Some people may think that the crisis of the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate will make the people forget about the crisis of the two Egyptian islands, Tiran and Sanafir, that were sold to the Saudi Arabia. The crisis of Journalists Syndicate came due to the lack of freedom of speech and violations to it in Egypt. This happens with claims to enforce of the law, but this law is simply ignored every now and then like when the son of Egyptian writer Hassanin Heikal came to Egypt in order to attend his father's funeral, and then he traveled back without being arrested though his name is on the travel ban list. TV presenter Ahmed Moussa was wanted and was found guilty by court and traveled outside Egypt on the presidential plane. Mortada Mansour was also wanted and police couldn’t break into his apartment to arrest him. Our law is only applied on the poor, but the great thieves are untouchable.

Well I know this is the third time Osama Kamal and his program Cairo 360 is the start point of my weekly article and this is due to several points, I'll mention some of them but not all:- 1. By observing the clashes that happened lately between the syndicate of the journalism and the interior ministry, I can confirm without any hesitation that we need an immediate reform. This reform not to any of these institutions but the reform they need is to their behaviour and their morals. When you follow these events, you will find out that every side was waiting for a mistake to the other side, however, that shouldn’t be how two main institution in the country deal with each other. There is no doubt that Interior ministry was trying to repeat what it was doing in the past before the 25th revolution. Interior Ministry not only called the thugs “Honorable citizens”, but also, they let them hit the journalists and injury them, for example, They injured “ Abd Al-Aleem Dawood” a journslist from Al-wafd newspaper.

When Diocletian issued decree to burn the churches and the demobilization of the Christians from work and confiscation of their property, St. George was a Christian prince in Cappadocia. He decided to declare his Christian faith and torn the king’s decree into pieces.

Chief of journalists said that he will not shoot himself to treat his headache. He forgot about the serious situation in Egypt and the call of the President to unite against conspiracies that threaten Egypt. Chief of journalists decided to hide fugitive criminals inside the journalists syndicate. He called to remove the minister of interiors as if he is taking control of the country. He threatened to take the crisis to an international level. He should have punished those who fight against Egypt in the current situation. The seventh day newspaper said that 70 soldiers were killed in Sinai and were the first to accuse the Egyptian police of killing the Italian student.

The recent escalation against Journalists Syndicate leading police to storming the Syndicate last Sunday in order to arrest two journalists, which is considered the first incident in 75 years. The police have violated the law of the Syndicate, which states that the inspection of the Journalists Syndicate is only permissible for a member of the public prosecutor in the presence of journalists’ Chairman or his representative (Article 70).

On May 2nd, Egyptians celebrate the feast of Sham El Nesim, which is an old feast dates back to the Pharos. On that day, Egyptians go out and enjoy the green parks and eat colored eggs and different kinds of fish as well as spring onion. This feast was prohibited by the extremist Islamic scholars several times; however, the Egyptians love to celebrate that feast and enjoy its traditions in the open.

Once again a conflict with the respectful Osama Kamal of 360 degrees TV program! He did his best to praise and give respect to Jesus and his beloved mother St. Mary the Virgin that God said you will be praised for ever in the WHOLE WORLD! However, turning his program in a Christian Occasion to an Islamic gathering full of conflicts and as a first one was what was said by M. Abd Alla El Naguar he said and repeated his say more than once that Jesus was born by a miracle from the Virgin Mary -correct- WITHOUT A FATHER?! -Biggest error and conflict ever heard! WHO IS OUR FATHER the FATHER OF ALL HUMANITY AND ANY LIVING PERSON?

Happy Easter to all the Copts in Egypt and all over the world. Today, I want to shed light on the many meanings behind the Easter Feast. Easter is not an ordinary feast where we just remember the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it's a real chance to think deeply about how God always has new ways to resurrect us from death. As it's mentioned in the Bible, His way is different from our way, the difference is like the distance between Earth and Heaven. Every year Easter comes, we have to thank our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the opportunity to see how valuable we are in His eyes. So much so, that He didn't mind to come down to earth for our sake. Easter is not just a celebration but in fact, it's a real reconcilation between God and mankind.

During the Holy Week, you may ask yourself why you serve Jesus Christ. This is a question that you should answer honestly. You may choose to serve since you have free time, or you may seek benefit or fame or authority. You may also aim to develop your skills or you may seek a job inside the church.

Our dear homeland is indeed facing a fierce war and several conspiracies led by America and its lackeys, such as Turkey, Iran and Qatar. It also uses agents including journalists, activists and businessmen. There are calls to overthrow the great Egyptian leader Abdul Fattah al-Sisi. At the same time, several friendly European and Arab countries rushed to support Egypt and its president, army and its people. Saudi Arabia funded several cultural and social projects in addition to military. France also supported Egypt and gave a lesson to London and Italy assuring that individual accidents like the death of the Italian students occur every day in all parts of the world, such as the killing of a Italian student in Geneva last week.

On the occasion of Easter that Copts are celebrating next Sunday, I call the president to have mercy on the Copts who were wronged by the Egyptian Judiciary in order to please fanatics even if against justice. I call him to issue presidential amnesty. This call comes also by several organizations in order to achieve justice for those Copts. Here I mention several names of those Copts including Girgis Baromi who is impotent but sentenced to prison for raping a child! There are several names in the same list including the children of Beni Mazar who were sentenced to prison on charges of contempt of Islam and Teacher Demiana Abdul Nour and many others.

A friend asked me: Why do you oppose the president after you supported and elected him? I told him that supporting a person once doesn’t mean to support him forever. I disagree with my family and friends, let alone the president! I was thinking about the great writer Tawfiq al-Hakim, who criticized the revolution of 1952 in his book "The return of consciousness" after he had supported it strongly to the point that Nasser himself considered him the spiritual father of the revolution of 1952.

In the past few weeks following my return to Egypt as I was furious on what happened to me and not wanting to write about it I was avoiding to write or trying to be brief in my articles not to talk about UK immigration officers, I'm not going to speak about it yet but I'll go back to my usual way of writing and analysing event, and as a start I have to point out that writing weekly articles makes me feel like a press personal or author which puts me in the same category president El-Sisi was complaining about!
