They have to work on the ground with the poor like those who belong to the Islamic current. However the Islamic current trade on relgion and incite sectarian incidents as well, civil current can work on the ground to prove they are not the enimies of God, as the Islamic current claim. Simple man in the street tends to be moderate concerning religion while the Islamists are but extremists, which may be useful for the civil current in the future.

No one can deny that the new Pope for the Coptic Orthodox Church will take office as head of his church under very difficult and unprecedented circumstances. This comes at the time Muslim Brotherhood and Salafis have reached power and are trying to impose an Islamic constitution and the Islamic Sharia. Furthermore, they prosecute the religious minorities by all means, and sometimes they attack their houses of worship as well as their property, and force them to leave their homes.

I wonder: why do we have all those Coptic activists? And why couldn't they provide solutions for our problems as Copts?

Two speeches summarize the first 100 days since president Mohammed Morsy took office.
