Every day we find more evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood has cooperated with Hamas to attack Egyptian police stations and prisons on January 28, 2011, in which many leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were set free including president Mohammed Morsy. Furthermore, more evidence is found that they have cooperated to kill the demonstrators in what’s called “Camel Battle”. Many people have a strong intuition that the MB with Hamas has committed such horrible crimes.
It's clear that Egypt is suffering under the Muslim Brotherhood rule. This is true at many levels including: economic, political, educational, etc. Moreover, Egyptians now are suffering from unprecedented poverty and humiliation.
I'm afraid that our political battle will soon be developed into a civil war, in which weapons will lead the dialogue between the Egyptian parties. How can we forgive ourselves then? I believe that we're in bad need for listening and understanding from both the government as well as the opposition, after we've lost all hope to be united.
As a child I woke up one day on 1958 to hear abut a great even announce in the newspapers -no TV in Egypt yet or may be we did not had one until 1959 or 60- Former President (R.I.P.) Jamal Abd El Nasser announced the unity of Syria with Egypt in to one united entity called the UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC. Nasser as an officer on the Egyptian army participated in War of 1948 broke out when five Arab nations invaded territory in the former Palestinian mandate immediately following the announcement of the independence of the state of Israel on May 14, 1948.
Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental rights that have been authenticated in the Human Rights Declaration. Egypt is one of the countries that created the declaration, which means it is committed by such rights and also it is required to protect this freedom not attack it.
In an interviews on CTV channel more than a year ago, I said clearly that it would be very useful, for Egypt in general and especially the Coptic Christians, that the Muslim Brotherhood would govern Egypt. I assured that they would fail to govern Egypt and they would only be exposed before the public opinion. I said then that the cost would be high, but I didn't expect it to be that high!
Arab media have distorted and attacked the idea of secularism and presented it as enemy of religion and all its assets. This is far from true, and reflects similar conflicts to that one between the Catholic Church and science in the 19th century that was proposed as an intrinsic intellectual conflict between worldly and spiritual matters, but it was a matter of gaining control and power. In fact, many Arab writers and journalists are repeating some ideas without actually spending some effort to do a research.
As the world celebrates Mother's day this month, Egypt presents different form of appreciation for women by taking away their rights. Six decades ago, women were much more appreciated in the Egyptian society, and it was big shame on men to hit women even if she hit him first.
On Tuesday morning, December 8, 1948, a police officer had entered the Interior Ministry, few minutes before the prime minister, Mahmud Fahmi al-Nuqrashi Pasha, arrived. Five minutes later, the officer killed al-Nuqrashi Pasha after shooting him thrice in the back at the door of the elevator.
Simple economy rules requires for any Industry what so ever to market and sell its products right? Failure to sell your products simply means no cash flow you can not buy primary products or pay your worker's salaries your Factory rent or power expenses you can not keep producing your merchandise and the factory or your industry collapses sooner or later or otherwise stating in terms of economy this Industry BANKRUPTS!
The current scene in the Egyptian community pushes us to stop and think for a while about a real solution for the situation at hand. Before this analysis, however, we should admit that the Muslim Brotherhood is one of the main factors responsible for the chaos we are now living in. We have to be sure that if the Muslim Brotherhood showed any hint of wisdom and pragmatism in dealing with the political situation, we wouldn’t have reached to such a state.
In just few months, the Muslim Brotherhood could successfully convey the message that all previous governors of Egypt have failed to convey, which is the MB group are a punch of liars who never care for the homeland.
Many Coptic Christians in Egypt are thinking nowadays about emigrating out of Egypt. They are freaking out that they never consider the hardships that they may face including different people, languages and traditions in countries that they know nothing about the stability of its economy. This happens as the Copts see their country as failed state, and fanatics are prosecuting both: non-Muslims and moderate Muslims calling them “infidels”.
Three days ago Al-Ahram Magazine published the names and pictures of the ASSASSINS who killed in cold blood last August 16 of our solders, I recall upon the Israeli attack on Gaza several years ago and when Ex-president Mubarak ordered to shut down the borders with Gaza as Israel always pretended and claimed that Hamas get weapons and ammunition from Egypt, so Mubarak to cut off Israeli excuses and claims shut the borders what was the re-action of Hamas then? They did blow up a part of the border's Wall and killed a solder! 3 of leading officers of Hamas involved in this assassination and Hamas spokesman denies -for God sake when did an assassin who killed in cold blood confessed ?
There are many people still asking why Pope Benedict resigned. There are many possible answers such as age, health, corruption in the Vatican, or even the scandal of sexual harassment related to some of the priests in the Vatican. It could also have been the only way to amend current relations with the Muslim world. There are many different interpretations as to why, but the only thing that all people can agree on is that he left his position for the interest of Vatican, as he himself announced many times.
I don't know how some people are optimistic about the future of Egypt after what's happening to it. Egypt has lost its position as a prestigious state with a great influence in the Middle East that President Gamal Abdel Nasser has founded the Non-Aligned Movement in conjunction with Yugoslavia and India
Each religion has its own beliefs that we can't see or touch as they are really private, but we do touch the practices of the believers of that religion, as such practices determine how people deal with each other. Such practices are of two kinds: Either good enough to help the community or bad enough to destroy it. Egypt has both kinds of religious practices.
I'm really sad for what happens in Egypt, as I'm against all kinds of violence and attacking public and private properties, which are apparently financed and restored by the taxes we pay. I'm also against cutting railways that had its bad impact mostly on the simple people.
There is really no reason for such many crimes committed on daily basis by the current regime in Egypt. Egyptian people are murdered because they claim their rights and express themselves! In fact, president Mohammed Morsy is the one responsible for killing those innocent people who carry no weapon other than their voices. Those peaceful demonstrators are being killed by the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters in Egypt. This apparently marks the end of their rule, which has become so near.
Glad to be back in Cairo Dr.Morsi and his allies are not going to make me stop loving Egypt or stop being Egyptian and caring of Egypt. I spent almost 72 hours in complete blindness of what is going on in Egypt as due to technical problems I could not switch between channels on TV using the remote and I had to get up to the TV for that purpose but as it was already by some unknown person set on the Egyptian International channel displaying a movie I decided to watch the movie while unpacking. Note the Internet service was cut off since I was not in the country I had to resume the service but I had to pay for it first!
