Court sentenced more than 180 individuals to death penalty, and they were only waiting for acceptance of the Grand Mufti of Egypt to apply the judgment. The defendants had attacked Kerdasa Police station and killed its officers before they mutilate the bodies.
When you see the pictures, you may wish to repeat the judge a thousand times. Yet, why many people refused similar judgment against Mubarak? Is it because the victims of Mubarak were only shot without mutilation? No, it’s because those people believe that Mubarak didn’t do this as the revolution wouldn’t succeed so smoothly if he did.
The fact finding committee of the revolution of June 30 issued its final report at the time the Missouri police officer who killed an unarmed black teenager was aquitted. The court found he was acting in self defense when he shot Brown, the black young man.
The officer doesn’t have a proof that the black man was a threat to his life when he shot him. Now, the Egyptian police that dispersed Rabaa Adawia sit-ins have many proofs and videos that protestors of Rabaa were violent and dangerous.
Christianity and Islam agree that believers should be polite and not curse or insult others. Yet, many Muslims and Christians ignore such basics and rules. Moreover, some people think that insulting the opposes of president al-Sisi is the best way to support him and prove their loyalty!
In fact, I believe the best way to express ones love to al-Sisi is by being a serious opposition for him and put his mistakes under the spot. Some artists refused the statement of actor Khalid Abul Naga, in which he invites al-Sisi to step down as he couldn’t eliminate terrorism in Egypt.
One of the most crucial decisions in the history of Egypt and the region was the decision of Sadat to travel to Israel 37 years ago. On that day, Sadat expressed his readiness to travel even to the Israeli Knesset.
It was clear that Sadat has prepared for the visit with his friend Carter who sent a message to Sadat asking him to take a move and salvage the situation.
When Einstein defined stupidity as repeating the same action expecting different results, he didn’t see the Egyptian police applying this rule concerning the bombing of Nahda Square, which was repeated twice in almost every single detail.
The officers didn’t learn from the mistakes of other officers serving at the same location and were targeted by bombs. They didn’t secure themselves and, therefore, can’t secure the people as well. They preferred to die instead of doing their job! What kind of negligence or madness is that?
If two people tell the same story in different ways, we usually believe those who have more credibility. Last week, journalist at Al Jazirah published accusations to the police in Masry al-Youm newspaper. Yet, he had more credibility than the police. Many people testified that he doesn’t belong to the Muslim Brotherhood and is not a liar. When police lie and fabricate many charges for innocent people, we should feel sorry. Of course, they were right few times, but in fact, they’re losing credibility. A journalist had written an article about police demolishing
It’s wonderful that the Muslim Brotherhood realizes Al-Sisi when he visits America, is moving to play on their playground. America and Britain are very stupid if they think they will be safe by supporting the Muslim Brotherhood as it’s the source of all terrorist organization.
President al-Sisi does not mind to accept the Muslim Brotherhood and their supporters in the political life in case they renounce violence. Many Coptic activists warned al-Sisi that supporting the Islamists may lead to his death just like former president Sadat did.
In fact, Sadat was assassinated for the peace treaty with Israel, but the Islamists nowadays are willing to kill whoever supports a state. That’s why they kill police officers and soldiers, and spread chaos everywhere.
President Obama says that Daash in Iraq is a cancer that must be removed. This is apparently true, but why does he refuse them in Iraq, and welcome them in Syria? America has not hit them until they approached the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Yet, you left them to do whatever they want in Syria.
I have a friend who lives near Rabaa Adawia Square where the sit-in of the Muslim Brotherhood was held. His name is Eng. Hatem Fouda. He told me that the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia was violent indeed. He added that there were many other ways to disperse it peacefully like prevent other people and food from entering the sit-in. We could have cut off power and water..etc. This way we could have avoided many bad reports of human rights organizations that the Muslim Brotherhood has been trading on ever since. Also, we could have avoided many losses among the security forces as well. This is how my friend thinks.
Daash terrorist organization vows to target Egypt soon by the slaughter of Egyptian people. The announcement did not specify the target, but considered the way of killing as slaughter. This shows us that their favorite bloody way of killing.
Of course, Daash knows that it's the most brutal organization among its counterparts in the region, and I believe is very happy for that.
Has any one thought about mental examination for elements of the Muslim Brotherhood arrested in demonstrations or acts of sabotage. I believe they may suffer from some mental disorder.
You man not find my proposal that weird if you know that members of the Muslim Brotherhood in Delga demanded last week to return the ousted president Mohamed Morsy to power. Don't they know that he is charged with betrayal? Furthermore, do they ask al-Sisi to return Morsy to power after he had removed him and became the newly elected president.
Out of sympathy, the ousted president Mohamed Morsy cried out at his prison, At your service Gaza. He remembers when he was in power and was able to bring the fighting parties together to negotiating table. He was able then to convince Hamas to recognize their acts against Israel is hostile acts, not acts of resistance.
He was able to reach armistice between his fighting friends. Thus, he wishes to be in power today to play the same game once again.
Rebel movement was born because of the great oppression of the Muslim Brotherhood. Thus, Egyptian men and women decided to refuse such oppression and called to unite the people once again after the Muslim Brotherhood has been working on dividing them.
Such unity was able to destroy the monster of the terrorist group that was trying to seize all over Egypt using the division of the people.
I do not deny that America is a superpower, but this doesn’t give its foreign minister the right to be rude when talking about Egypt and its stability and respect for democracy. Furthermore, it doesn’t give him the right to talk on behalf of our president and ask for a break for the newly elect president.
It doesn’t give him reason to talk about our judicial system and its provisions.
Being a super power does give America the right to demand the release of journalists of Al-Jazirah news network whom were condemned by Egyptian court. Would you welcome our talk about the importance of releasing sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman. Mubark did well when he ignored the American demands to release Aiman Nour.
It was not a mere coincidence that 22 years after the great Egyptian thinker Farag Fouda was assassinated by terrorists who adopt the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, president Abdul Fattah al-Sisi came in office and officially received power at the same day, June 8th. At that very day, Egypt has celebrated the removal of those terrorists from power and Farag was truly avenged.
Well, you have the right not to believe in astronomy and wizard's ability to prophesize, but you should respect those who do believe. In fact, many presidents all over the world believe in astronomy and its power to bring good and prevent evil.
Obama hasn’t met with Morsy believing he is jinx, and a wizard told Mubarak in 1974 that he won’t retire soon and he has a long way to go. Soon Mubarak survived many assassination attempts.
I have many reasons not to vote for Hamdeen Sabahi in the upcoming presidential elections. The first reason is that Sabahi is very similar to the ousted president Mohamed Morsy as both of them are liars who belong to Hamas more than they do to Egypt. Additionally, as Morsy was manipulated by the Muslim Brotherhood, Sabahi will be moved by the youth.
Presidential candidate, Abdul Fatah al-Sisi, recited what happened between him and Khairat Shater, prominint leader of the Muslim Brotherhood who was the real prsident of Egypt at the time of Mohamed Morsy.
Shater, who’s currently in prison pending investigations in serous accusations, threatened al-Sisi by hundreds of fighters and jihadists from all over the world who were going to fight the Egyptian army in case Morsy is overthrown! However, Shater’s daughter defended her father saying he is but a brave patriot man who decided not to escape from Egypt upon the revolution of June 30.
Former President Sadat was one of the people who assassinated Amin Othman, Egypt's Foreign Minister on October 8th, 1944 as he described the relationship between Egypt and England, the occupier, as the Catholic marriage, which doesn’t allow divorce. Later, Egypt's Foreign Minister, Fahmy the father, resigned in protest against visiting Jerusalem by president Sadat. Then, comes his son, Nabil Fahmy the son, to describe the relationship between Egypt and America as legal marriage!
Dr. Alaa Sadik, anchor and big fan of the Muslim Brotherhood, said that four things prevent reconciliation between the state and the Muslim Brotherhood. Those things according to him are: the martyrs, the blood, the injured and the tortured. In fact he could have just said “the blood” instead of making them four! Yet, he has been very interested in talking and talking ignoring to make his sentences any shorter since he has changed his career from sports anchor to a big fan of the Muslim Brotherhood and terrorist as well.
Ahram Online visits the Hanging Church, one of Egypt’s oldest churches, after 16 years of restoration.
