Abba Takla, Bishop of Dishna, called the Copts to participate in the presidential elections. This came during the holy mass celebrated at the church of St. Mary in Rahmania village. The Bishop has also consecrated parts of the church and ordained a new deacon.

The Church of St. Karas in Dishna received a new priest called Father Sarabamon Fawzy after he spent the 40 day spiritual retreat at the monastery of ST. Pachomius Al-Shayeb. The new priest was received by priests and congregation of the church.

The Church of the Archangel Michael in Luxor celebrates its new priests in the presence of Abba Youssab, the general bishop. Pope Tawadros II had ordained 5 new priests for the ministry in Luxor. The new priests are Fathers Athanasius,Permen, Falatous, Martirus and Antonious.

Under the patronage of Father Antonius Zekry, the Catholic Church of Copts in Aswan, organized a spiritual renaissance meeting for its congregation. The meetings last for five days and will end next Friday.

Luxor diocese celebrated the 109th anniversary for establishing the Cathedral of St. Mary in Luxor. The celebration lasted for three days and was attended by Bishop Yosab of Luxor who said that there are four kinds of consecration to God, one of them is consecration of the holy vessels in addition to consecration of churches, consecration of priests and the general consecration for the congregation. Father Bishoy Narouz, deputy of the diocese said in his speech that people should care for having consecrated eyes and mind in order to keep their souls consecrated. He added that love of God ist crucial to rrach this God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

His Grace Bishop Takla of Dishna, and His Holiness Bishop Justus, head of St. Anthony monastery, headed on Sunday the ordination ceremony of 3 new deacons whom are going to be ordained priests in few days. The new deacons are Yousab Ezzat, Philopatir Naim, and Sarabamon Fawzy. The celebration was held at the church of St. Mary in Salamia village, Nag Hamadi.

Abdul Hamid Haggan, Governor of Qena, visited the monastery of Archangel in Naqada and Nag Hamadi Cathedral to congratulate the Copts on Christmas. The governor was accompanied by a number of senior officials from the governorate who wished the Copts happy feast and Egypt safety and stability.

Father Mattaous Yakhari, and Father Bishoy Kamel, visited Sheikh Hashim mosque in Isna to donate for its reconstruction. The old mosque was demolished after it became ramshackle. Preachers of the mosque congratulated the Copts on Christmas wishing Egypt safety and stability in the new year.

The second conference of the 1000 ministers was held under the patronage of His Grace Bishop Takla, Bishop of Deshna under the title research . The conference started with a sermon on the Personality of the Coptic Orthodox Church delivered by Father Poulos Metry. It lasted for three days and was attended by ministers of several churches in Dishna.

Abba Mataus, Bishop of al-Suryan monastery and supervisor of the Monastery of Abba Mtawes Al Fakhoury in Asfoun Mount, Isna, Luxor, ordained 4 new monks at the monastery. The ordination was attended by Abba Yusab, Bishop of Luxor, Abba Joaquim, Bishop of Isna and Arment.

His Grace Bishop Takla, Bishop of Dishna, ordained 7 new deacons for the ministry in the monastery of St. Balamoun in Qasr village. The bishop celebrated the first midnight prayers at the holy month of Koiak.

Abba Takla, Bishop of Deshna, ordained 51 new deacons at the rank of Ebsaltus at the church of Archangel Michael church in Abu Manna village. After celebrating the holy mass, the church organized a seminar to answer the question of the youth.

At the spiritual celebration of St. Verina in Gragos village, Qena, Abba Pemen, bishop of Naqada and Qus perfumed the remains of St. Verina. Abba Pemen also delivered a sermon entitled the preacher Christian through the biography of St. Verina.

Abba Hedra, Bishop of Aswan, ordained two new priests on the church of Archangel Michael in Aswan, namely Father Girigs Israel adn Father Athnasious Murice. The ordination was attended by Abba Bemen, Bishop of Naqada and Qus, Abba Youacim, General Bishop of Esna.

Abdulhamid Haggan, governor of Qena, received a church delegation in Qena to offer condolences for victims of recent terrorist attack against a mosque in Arish. The delegation was headed by Abba Sharobim, bishop of Qena and denounced the bloody terrorist attack. The governor assured that such terrorist attacks will only increase our unity and support to the government.

Abba Sharobim, Bishop of Qena, visited the monastery of Shayeb in Luxor to congratulate Abba Selwanis and monks of the monastery on the ordination of 7 new monks. The ordination was attended by Abba Bemen, Bishop of Naqada, Abba Maqar, Bishop of Shariqia, and Abba Youssab, general bishop of Luxor.

Abba Sharubim, Bishop of Qena, perfumed the remains of St. George and the martyrs of Fayoum at St. George Church in Shanhoria, Qena. The celebration was attended by hundreds of the congregation who came to celebrate the feast of their beloved saint.

The Bible House in Luxor organized a festival entitled In His image at the monastery of St. George in Rizeigat under the auspices of the papal commission, which supervises the monastery. The festival started on November 12 and includes talent show of singing, acting, poetry, and painting, in addition to a biblical competetion distributed to the visitors.

Abba Markos, Bishop of Shubra al-Khaima, celebrated the 26 inauguration anniversary of Abba Bemen, Bishop of Naqada and Qus. The celebration was attended by priests, ministers and congregation of the diocese.
