Army and police are tyrants: Salafi Jihadists

The “hatred oppression and tyranny” of the police and armed forces and their “heinous crimes against Muslims” are unforgiveable, the Salafi Jihadist Organisation of Sinai said in a recent statement.

Appearing on a number of Jihadist websites, the statement condemned the army’s dispersal of pro-Morsi sit-ins at the Rabaa al-Adaweya and Al-Nahda squares in Cairo, which it called “both hateful and abusive.”

The organisation decried not only the dispersal, but “the crimes that took place in the days that followed,” including bloodshed in Ramses Square, clashes at the Al-Fatih mosque, and what it called “the Abi Zabal prison massacre,” which was “villainous and inhumane” in nature.

It went on to accuse the police and armed forces of being holdovers from “the Crusaders themselves, to serve as their agents in the region,” ensuring that Egypt’s citizens are “forcibly governed by French law” while promoting what the group called a “war against Islam.”
