Father Arsanius Kyrolous, deputy of Aswan Diocese, told Copts United that Muslims of Marienab village have gathered in front of St. George Church in order to prevent the Copts from praying at the Church.Upon reporting the police, they asked the Coptic Christians not to pray at the church for a while until things calm down.
It’s worth mentioning that the village had witnessed sectarian violence in October 2011.
