Omraniya prosecutors on Wednesday remanded 28 Brotherhood members into custody on charges of bullying and burning an empty public transport bus in Haram last January.
They are also charged with demonstrating without permission, blocking roads, possession of Molotov cocktails and fireworks and destroying public property.
The defendants denied the charges and claimed they were arrested randomly as they were walking in the street.
Investigators say that 500 members of the Brotherhood group gathered in Haram on 26 January, threw Molotov cocktails and fireworks at police and passersby citizens and burned down a bus.
The police had dispersed them with tear gas, chased them in the side streets and arrested some of them while in possession of Molotov cocktails and fireworks.
