Osama Anwar Ukasha, who has been named 'The Father of Egyptian and Arab Drama' passed away yesterday after a battle with illness.He was 69.
Ukasha is a name that every Arab family is familiar with, through the numerous TV series he's written, like Layali Al Hilmia, Zizinia and Ana Winta Wbaba Fil Mishmish among many more.
The last TV drama he wrote was Al Masrawia, which aired during Ramadan 2007.
His works are considered some of the most interesting, most important and most watched TV series in the Arab world.
May he rest in peace ... Egyptian drama won't be the same without him!
