NCHR: Egypt Shura Council elections hampered

 National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) said that the Supreme Committee for Elections of Egypt's Shura Council ignored complaints regarding security services which refused to grant monitoring permits, preventing the supervisors from overseeing the elections

During the Council's second monthly meeting discussions took place reagarding the statement to be issued on the murder of Khaled Saed.
 
On his part, Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Human rights Hafez Abu Seada incriminated the Council for its long silence and passive stance.
 
A statement is expected to be issued concerning the coroner's report on Saed's autopsy calling for a transparent the investigation and punish of perpetrators if they were proven guilty.
