CAIRO- A criminal court Monday ordered two journalists from an opposition newspaper to pay LE120,000 each in fine for offending judges of the State Council, an influential court advising the Government.
Magdi Salama and Gamal Shawki from the daily opposition newspaper Al Wafd were accused of insluting the board members of the State Council's Club in an article printed in the newspaper.
The claimants said the story was slanderous, an accusation upheld by the Giza Criminal Court.
