Dr. Awad Shafik, Professor of International Law, said that the fundamental problem in Egypt is that the state doesn’t want to abandon her religious-back powers.
He added that the constitution and law doesn't totally rejects religious parties and the second article of the constitution even supports them.
Therefore, the Salafis are trying to prove they don't discriminate between Muslims and Christians by putting Copts on their lists, and even when they call their young people to participate in an Islamic revolution, they are applying the second article of the Constitution that states Islam is the religion of the state.
