John Eibner, human rights activist working for Christian Solidarity organization who recently returned from Syria, said in his interview with the Swiss newspaper that Christians and other minorities are threatened.

He added that before the civil war in Syria, more than 2.5 million Christians lived in Syria. Now, it’s much less number.

He conducted many interviews with refugees from Syria and visited many Syrian cities like Maloula and Homs that were recovered by Bashar al-Assad.

Eibner said that those people can find no hope that their misery will come to an end after they suffered from ethnic cleansing. Such minorities can only find protection in places controlled by Bashar al-Assad.
