9 ‘takfiris’ arrested in N. Sinai, 18 tunnels on borders destroyed

Military sources added in statements that about 18 tunnels on borders between Sinai and Gaza were destroyed.
 
Military forces used Apache planes during their latest operations according to the sources, which helped tracking and killing these bases, while forces coordinated with a number of civilian residents in Arish, Rafah and Sheikh Zuwayed.
 
The Ministry of Defense also released a new video Friday evening showing the surprise visit of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi visit to North Sinai last Wednesday, during which he attended a training session on raiding an armed location and fighting gunmen.
 
The released video showed Sisi talking with forces and discussing their plans, giving orders to operations against “terrorist” group basis.
 
A presidential statement announced that Minister of Defense Sedqi Sobhi and Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy accompanied Sisi in the visit. The state officials and top officers discussed means to execute tasks under various circumstances;  Sisi “demanded to keep the highest degree of readiness at all times.”
