Ghaly's Egypt dispute almost resolved: Assistant coach

Egypt's assistant coach Osama Nabih says the matter has been quite exaggerated by the media

Egypt's assistant coach Osama Nabih said that the problem with Hossam Ghaly has almost come to an end and that soon everyone will see both of them "laughing together."

Ahly skipper Ghaly was involved in a dispute with the national team's management during the past month, as a result of which he was left out of the squad for the 2-0 CAN qualifying away win at Tanzania.

"There is almost no problem with Ghaly now, soon everyone will see us talking and laughing together," ex-Zamalek forward Nabih told a radio station.

"The matter has been quite exaggerated in the media. Soon everyone will be sure that there are no hard feelings between us."

Ex-Tottenham midfielder Ghaly has been at the centre of a feud with the Egypt coaching staff after reportedly insulting a teammate during the training camp for the Nigeria qualifiers in March.

Egypt boss Hector Cuper had been understandably angry with Ghaly's demeanor, with the Argentinean manager announcing that the Ahly veteran would only be granted reprieve should he apologise.

It remains to be seen whether the key Ahly figure would return to the national team's fold in the upcoming period, with Egypt's approaching training camp in August.
