Afaf El-Hodhod has made it to the 10m-shooting range finals after finishing fifth in the qualifying round to become the first Egyptian shooter to go through.
The 19-year-old El-Hodhod, who recorded a 386-9x at four attempts, will be contesting the finals at 16:00 Cairo time.
A day earlier, Egyptian fellow shooters Shaimaa Hashad and Hadir Mekhemar waved the Rio Olympics goodbye after finishing 27th and 49th respectively in the 10m air riffle qualifying round.
Sami Abdel-Razeq and Ahmed Mohamed were not similarly lucky, outsting the shooting 10m air pistol contest after finishing 30th and 45th respectively.
