Egypt's security forces have cracked down on its members leading up to elections next week, said Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's main opposition group
Supporters of the group, which is outlawed in Egypt, have clashed with security forces in several cities over the past few days.
The situation in Egypt in the run-up to the parliamentary elections is tense.
The Muslim Brotherhood - probably the strongest opposition grouping - are banned from putting up candidates so are instead fielding a number of independents.
Trouble has broken out at a number of rallies for these candidates when security forces tried to prevent crowds expressing their support for the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Muslim Brotherhood themselves say that more than 1,000 of their members have been arrested in recent weeks.
