This article is not to discuss the football game between the Egyptian and Nigerian teams. This article will rather talk about the date of the match which was changed by Egyptian police at the last minute, which sent a message that Egypt is not safe to tourists who plan to visits it at the anniversary of the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins. This came after Britain partially lifted the ban to visit Egypt along with Turkey and Russia.
Egyptian police insists on telling the world that Egypt is not safe which distort our reputation and affect our economy so badly.
Those who elected president al-Sisi hoped that police will be better, but they still can’t attend a football game or feel safe in their country. Moreover, police knew that terrorists won’t attack the game on Monday, but will attack it in case it is held on Saturday. They may have secret information that terrorists will repent on Monday!
In fact, this is nonsense and those who are responsible for our security are clearly not doing their job professionally. Yet, they keep repeating that Egypt is the place of security and safety.
