Zamalek's Nigerian striker Stanley Ohawuchi has voiced confidence concerning his side's chance of winning the African Champions League.
The Cairo giants will face Sundowns of South Africa in the first-leg of the Champions League final in Pretoria on 15 October, before hosting the second-leg one week later.
"The Sundowns' clash will be very tough," Ohawuchi told reporters Sunday. "They have a good team and some classy players, but we are ready for any challenge as we are looking for the competition's title.''
The 26-year-old, who joined Zamalek on a one-season loan deal from Wadi Degla this summer, played an instrumental role against Moroccan side Wydad in the second-leg of the Champions League semis last month.
He created a goal for teammate Bassem Morsi before scoring a vital goal in the dying minutes that ended Wydad's hopes of completing a stunning comeback.
Despite enjoying a big advantage in the first-leg, which they won 4-0, the White Knights slumped to a heavy 5-2 defeat in the second-leg in Morocco but still reached the final with a 6-5 aggregate victory.
"This game will live in my memory because it was very tough," Ohawuchi said. "Despite our shaky performance during the game I was sure that we will reach the final."
Zamalek will be looking for their first African title since 2002 when they lifted their fifth Champions League trophy.
