Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour said Tuesday that the club rejects coach Moemen Soliman's resignation, the Cairo giants' official website reported.
The 42-year-old rookie coach stepped down on Saturday after coming under fire for his recent game tactical choices despite winning three out of the team's four games in the Egyptian Premier League.
"There will be a meeting with the entire current technical staff on Tuesday," the outspoken chairman Mansour said.
The club managment was reportedly choosing between several candidates to succeed Soliman before settling on keeping the rookie coach.
Soliman took over at Zamalek in July after the club had lost the league title to arch-rivals Ahly.
He helped the team exact revenge on their bitter foes after beating them 3-1 in the Egypt Cup final following a convincing performance.
His last win in the Egypian league came on Friday against Masry, hours before his resignation.
The White Knights also reached the African Champions League final under his guidance.
However, Soliman was criticised as the team failed to win a third African Champions League title, after suffering a 3-1 aggregate loss to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns in the final, including en embarrassing 3-0 first-leg defeat in Pretoria.
Mansour is known for quickly firing coaches on minor stumbles or simple dislike.
Zamalek went through nine coaches in less than three seasons since Mansour was elected as the club's chairman in March 2014.
