Kuwait’s Ammar El-Tamimi qualified to the quarterfinals of the the Khoozestan Squash Association Shahid Daghayeghi Open, as the championship’s first round came to an end in Iran’s city of Avhaz.
El-Tamimi defeated Iran’s Navid Maleksabet with a score of 3-0 (11-7/11-8/11-9).
Iraq’s Hasanain Dakheel and Mohamed Ferman Hasan exited the tournament in the first round, after losing to Pakistan’s Amaad Fareed, by 3-1 (11-5/16-14/3-11/11-6), and Ahsan Ayaz, by 3-2 (10-12/11-9/8-11/11-7/11-6), respectively.
