Egypt's Elmohamady proud to be first to play 100 EPL games for Hull City

Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady said on Tuesday he is proud to be the first player to feature in 100 games for Hull City in the English Premier League.

Elmohamady reached the milestone when he took part in Hull's 3-1 defeat by Manchester City on 8 April. He was unfortunate to score an own goal in that game, gifting City a 31st-minute opener.

"To play 100 PL games for Hull has been a privilege," the 29-year-old said on Twitter.

"To be the first to play 100 for this club is an honour. Thank you to everyone."

With 105 Premier League games to his name with Hull so far, Elmohamady is ahead of teammates Tom Huddlestone (94) and Curtis Davies (82), according to transfermarkt.com.

The right wing-back has been one of Hull's regular first-team players since joining from Sunderland in the summer of 2012.

He scored 11 goals and provided 27 assists in all competitions with the Tigers.
