Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, inaugurated on Sunday a 44-storey skyscraper in the heart of Melbourne developed by the Coptic Orthodox Church in Australia. The new skyscraper, was called Eporo Tower, and includes a large church, a bookstore, a dining hall, conference rooms, facilities for a theological college, and residential apartments.

During the inauguration, Pope Tawadros II praised the efforts of the Coptic community in Australia and expressed great admiration for the new tower.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mrs. Malin Kiros, representative of the majority, Mr. Matthew Jay, the former Minister of Planning, who has given the approval and permission to build the tower, Mr. Kevin Andrews, representative of the Prime Minister, Mr. Peter Khalil, MP and representative of the opposition party and, Dr. Grehm Blakman, Dean of the Theological Seminary in Melbourne, and Mrs. Nabila Makram, Egyptian Minister of Immigration.
